First Hair Cut

A few weeks ago I took A. for her first haircut! Of course I could have taken her to the gal that cuts my hair or a place in the neighborhood but for her first I ventured to Snip-Its in Rocky River! For an extra $5 we got a snip-it of her hair, a photo and certificate.

Best Place for a Date Night in Cleveland

You guessed it – The Greenhouse Tavern. And thats just where Damon and I went the other night for dinner. Ever since we had kids you will usually find us dining at the bar, watching the CAVS game, asking the bartender questions about the drinks he is making and of course people watching! The Greenhouse Tavern won the Nicks Parent Pick for 2009, Best Place in Cleveland for a Parents Date Night. We enjoyed a few appetizers (clams, wings and the fritta’s) and of course tried the new Saison de Maison beer!

New Shoes for M.

M. received another wonderful gift yesterday from our friends Angela and Bernie – how cute are these shoes (in 6-9month)! They picked them up at a very cute, local store The Banyan Tree (a contemporary, urban oasis with unique gift/decor items and chic clothing!). I LOVE shopping local and of course receiving gifts from local stores – plus the Banyan Tree has the cutest gift wrapping.

“King for Kids” – Registration ends today!

This Saturday is LeBron James’ fourth annual “King for Kids” Bike-a-thon at Canal Park stadium downtown. Online registration to participate ends Wednesday (Aug. 22). Click here to register.

Registration cost for the Bikeathon is $15 for individuals, $50 for teams and groups (up to a maximum of four) and $75 for families (up to a maximum of six in a family). All registered riders will receive a “King for Kids” T-shirt to be worn during the Bikeathon. The event will recognize and reward Akron-area children who have achieved academic success, improved their physical fitness and made important contributions to the community.
